Here is a blog post I wrote about how I organize my photos. Your question about scanned photos is a great one. You can always use Lightroom in a similar way, but this brings up a good point. Most of them have either been scanned (those from the days of film) or they are from a digital camera. So, my next step is to get them in some sort of order by date. I have two kids so I thought I would make each of them a set of books. Probably many books! As for the getting the digital photos into one place and then organizing them do you have any hints?
